Production Quality Engineer


Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading the continuous improvement initiatives throughout the company and managing the functions directly related to quality. The PQE will lead cross-functional teams while working on processes across all departments.

The PQE reports to the Quality Manager.

Essential Job Functions

  • Partners with engineering, production, and suppliers to prepare product and process control plans, identifying appropriate tools, procedures, sampling plans, and data collection requirements.
  • Plans and performs internal and supplier process audits, in accordance with AS9100. Creates, updates and/or modifies processes and procedures.
  • Train and review quality technician’s FAI reports
  • Creating technical documentation including, but not limited to:
  • Developing, writing, releasing and publishing technical reports, work instructions and correspondence, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Developing and writing technical papers, manuals and supporting product documentation.
  • Developing and publishing SOPs and policies.
  • Supporting functional departments in the creation of technical documents including, but not limited to:
  • Developing, and applying uniform formats and protocols for the formatting, approval, presentation, and release of technical documents.
  • Reviewing technical reports, work instructions, and correspondence for standardized formatting, technical accuracy, clarity and proper grammar and spelling.
  • Facilitate project teams as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in production related quality
  • Working knowledge of engineering drawings/specifications and basic quality procedures
  • High level of corporate professionalism, maturity, and technical savvy
  • Ability to build consensus and decision making through influence
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Able to professionally execute projects with minimal supervision
  • Experience with AS9102 format FAIs preferred


  • 5 years’ experience in process development preferred
