Quality Technician


Position Summary

The Quality Technician physically inspects components and hardware to ensure workmanship and raw materials meet acceptable standards of quality and/or airworthiness, and reviews associated documentation to ensure all design data (dimensional, material, appearance, special processes) are substantiated, and components are in an airworthy condition with all required documentation properly completed and filed.

Essential Job Functions

  • Adhere to Quality Management System policies and procedures as applicable
  • Responsible for Quality Assurance / Quality Control inspections of components, analysis of trial products during development, and testing of finished goods as assigned.
  • Keep accurate, neat and legible records. Analyze collected data when requested.
  • Support the preparation and documentation of inspection plans as required.
  • Coordinate throughout assigned jobs with other departments to ensure that accurate, neat and legible records are maintained.
  • Ensure raw materials meet material specifications and components meet engineering requirements prior to release from QA quarantine area or final buy-off.
  • Able to assist in rework activities or production if applicable.
  • Assist in maintaining the accuracy of inventory and status of the product.
  • Continually monitor compliance with AS9100 as applicable.
  • Recommend process improvements, and helps evaluate quality costs.
  • Comply with company policies and safety requirements at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Working knowledge of engineering drawings/specifications and basic quality procedures.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measurement equipment, micrometers, calipers, height gauges; dial indicators, surface roughness gauges, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, work independently and efficiently.
  • Familiar with MSOffice
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Able to professionally execute projects with minimal supervision


  • 1-3 years’ related work experience

  • High school diploma or GED


  • Associate’s Degree
  • IPC J-STD or other similar certifications

Salary: $15.00 to $19.00 /hour
